44th Annual General Meeting

Members are advised that the 44th Annual General Meeting will be held in the betting hall at Exhibition Park on Wednesday 1 September 2010, commencing at 7.30PM. Business to be transacted at the meeting is to confirm the minutes of the previous meeting, receive the annual report and statement of accounts and to elect office bearers and committee members for the 2010-11 year. Any other business a member may wish to raise is to be provided in writing to the Secretary Manager no later than 12 noon Wednesday 25 August 2010. Nominations for office bearers and committee members are to be made out in accordance with Section 13 of the club’s Rules of Association and lodged with the Secretary Manager no later than 12 noon Wednesday 25 August 2010.

New Season Racing

The Canberra Harness Racing Club’s 2010 - 2011 season will open on Monday 30 August. The feature dates are Monday 8 Nov (Heats PJ Hall), Saturday 18 December (Christmas Cup), Sunday Feb 6, 2011 (Canberra Cup, Derby), Monday 14 March (Oaks), 23 May (Sapling Stakes) and June 6 (Presidents Cup) and closing day. Except for the Christmas Cup and Canberra Cup days all meetings are Monday nights. The Christmas Cup is the only ACTTAB only meeting. The full programme is as follows: August 30. September 6, 13 and 27. October 18. November 8, 15 and 22. December 13 and 18. January 17, 24 and 31. February 6. March 7, 14 and 21. April 4 and 11. May 23 and 30. June 6. There are 22 meetings in all which represents a 30 % increase in racing over last year. Wallet programme calendars are now available.
